Soapstone is mainly of mineral tale and often has striations of quartz. The color is generally dark grey with limited variations; however, oiling will give soapstone a deep, rich glow and if left natural, it will develop a unique patina. It is available in .75” to 2.75” slabs.

What To Be Aware Of:

– Limited colors
– Very soft; susceptible to scratching
– Scratches and chips easily especially on edges, but they can be sanded out
– Hard on glassware
